Single-stage end-suction pumps Construction features All LES pumps up to 132 frame come with pump volute casing with feet and motor without feet (see fig. 3). Starting from 160 frame they come with volute casing with feet and motor with feet (see fig. 4). Volute casing The volute casing of the pumps are designed to be robust in construction to take the undue stresses offered by the pipe work. They have an axial suction port and radial discharge port.
