Protect Your Pump from an
Over-Pressure Condition
The Hydraulic Institute recommends
that Positive Displacement Pumps
be installed with a Relief Valve in the
discharge line. This is required to
protect the pump and piping against
any type of line blockage including
the inadvertent closing of an isolation
valve. Such a condition will cause
immediate pump breakage or other
system failures.
Liquiflo manufactures two sizes of Relief
Valves in 316 SS and Alloy-C.

Liquiflo Relief Valves
Adjusting Cap
Adjusts discharge pressure of Relief
Valve. Adjustment can be performed
while the Relief Valve is in service
without leakage.
Safety Lock Pin
Ensures parts will not separate even if
Adjustment Cap is removed.
Lock Nut
Locks Adjustment Cap in place.
Teflon O-Ring
Gives Liquiflo Relief Valve a unique
advantage by allowing adjustment
without leakage while in service.
Proper Hook-up of Pump with Separate Relief Valve
Proper configuration with Relief Valve directly bypassing the discharge line back
to the supply tank.
