L'application de ces moteurs est prévue pour des machines à moment résistant quadratique (machi­nes centrifuges).
La puissance de la grande vitesse (GV) est celle du moteur normalisé de même vitesse dans la même hauteur d'axe (du 80 au 315 inclus). Le couplage de ces moteurs est prévu pour une seule tension d'alimentation (couplage Dahlander) et n'autorise pas le démarrage étoile triangle.
