| | | The measurement of speed makes different demands on a measuring system than MiniCoders do. Speed sensors are designed for highly reliable speed and direction measurements starting from o Hz and - due to their metallic housings - are suitable for even the harshest working conditions. In addition, they tolerate a larger air gap between target wheel and sensor element. Toothed wheels made of ferro-magnetic material are used as measuring targets. Non-ferro-magnetic wheels made of aluminium or stainless steel can also be scanned with a special sensor type. An innovative eddy current measuring method enables reliable results to be obtained with such material. | | The speed sensors are dew point-proof, wear-free (owing to the non-contact measuring principle) and insensitive to contamination. All sensors can be operated in a temperature range from -40 °C to +120 °C. The flexible combination of sensor models with up to 3 channels, customised measuring targets and connection technology allow sensor systems with high levels of process security and long life-times to be produced. | | |
