Advantages:
The miniaturised sensors are dew-point-proof, wear-free and insensitive to dirt, shock and vibration. The target wheel can be designed in such a way that it can be adapted to the machine's geometry (inside and outside diameter, number of pulses) to obtain an extremely flexible system. For our customers, this means a competitive advantage, high process reliability and a long life-time. The systems are maintenance-free, which cuts life cycle costs to a minimum.
The MiniCoders are designed as an alternative to the conventional mounting of angular encoders in drives. These devices work on a non-contact basis and are equipped with a magnetic scanning system enabling the incremental detection of rotational movements in combination with a toothed wheel which is used as a measuring target. The design is extremely compact and opens up new possibilities for system integration.
As far as resolution and precision are concerned, the MiniCoders are fully comparable to the high-resolution rotary professional encoders. They are an interesting alternative to hollow-shaft encoders when used with customer specific measuring target wheels.
The scanning elements, the magnet and the integrated electronics are realised in a fully encapsulated housing with the latest microsystem technology.
