OPERATING INSTRUCTIONSDET 06.. DET 06.. Diesel Injector Professional tester

(Aluminium version) With the Diesel Injector Tester DET 06., Diesel industrial injectors canbe tested with regard to the following qualities: opening pressure spraying of the fuel injected spray pattern leakproofness rattling quality Application:

1.connect pressure lead ( 1 ) to the tester2.fill the professional container with test liquid (up to ab. 3 cm above the filtre)3.operate hand pump suppliers lever ( 2 ) until a constant stream comes out; bydoing this, the device is bleeded.The pump lever ( 2 ) may be repositioned in the front socket to facili-tate pumping ( 5 )4. connect the injector to be tested with the pressure lead ( 1 ) usingthe matching adapter 5. continue to operate hand pump lever (2 ) to build up pressure. Ob-serving the injector’s spray-start, the opening pressure can be read from the gauge ( 3 ) (should the fuelpressure exceed over the nozzle spring pressure, subtly sprayed fuel comes out of the injector).The drag pointer some types are provided with, remains in the position of the injector’s spray pressure. Thepressure can be read later, therefore it is not necessary to watch simultaneously the injector’s stream and the gauge. To control the leakproofness, a pressure of ab. 20 bar below the opening pressure has to be built up byoperating the hand pump lever. The injector is leakproof, if it does not start to drop within 10 seconds. To test the rattling quality, the lever has to be activated slowly. According to type of injector, there has to be aclearly audible rattling noise during the injection process.
