Universal Mounting Boxes: New Box Offers Improved Looks, Tamper Resistance - 30661 Improved Wall Switch Boxes

New Wall Switch Mounting Boxes Offer Improved Looks, Tamper Resistance

In response to customerrequests, Larco has introduced a new line of wall switch mounting boxes that offer improved aesthetics and additional tamper resistance.

The boxes, which are available forround and square full sized wall switches, are designed to accommodate both surface- and flush-mount installations. In the new design, the wall switch is actually recessed into the wall box, preventing objects from being wedged behind the switch and resisting other kinds of tampering. The recessed box and switch design also gives the entire unit a sleeker, more elegant appearance, making it an attractive addition to any entrance.Made of a heavy duty black ABS,Larco’s new wall boxes are injection molded for additional strength and durability, which makes them able to withstand particularly high-traffic environments, including schools, hospitals and other public institutions. When combined with the durability of Larco’s stainless steel hardwired and radio-controlled wall switches, the entire unit is designed to last for more than 10,000,000 operations.
Larco’s new wall boxes are designed to accommodate full size round or square switches in both flush- and surface-mount applications. The fully assembled switches shown above include the flush adapter ring shown by itself at right. The entire wall switch assembly is only 1-3/4”deep. Once assembled, the wall switch is actually recessed inside the wall box, preventing injury and vandalism and making them perfect for installations in high traffic, high abuse environments, including schools, hospitals and other public institutions.
