SecureLinx SLM

Simplify Management of ITEquipment and Your EntireNetwork Infrastructure

Maintain more network up-time

Consolidate management of IT infrastructure through a simple browser interface

Maintain a secure, central point of access to all equipment with centralized console logging

Reduce equipment diagnosis and repair time while minimizing cost of ownership and administrative resources
As the network infrastructure continues to grow to keep up with thedemands of modern day business, the number of “out-of-bandinfrastructure” (OOBI) management devices (console servers, KVMsand remote power managers) increases. The SecureLinx Management Appliance (SLM) seamlessly integratesequipment connected by OOBI devices. Through a centralized point of access and common interface, it enables administrators to quicklyand easily access equipment anywhere in the enterprise with just a few mouse clicks.Centralized access and authentication saves time and minimizesadministrative burdens. Network administrators can more quickly isolate and access problem equipment. This minimizes the impact on system availability, employee productivity and company sales. Automated firmware deployment tools also reduce time and labor with ability to deploy for firmware on up to 256 console servers.Since user account information is maintained in one place, there is no need to maintain separate user-names/passwords for each management device. Users can also be remotely authenticated using LDAP, RADIUS and NIS. The SLM helps ITdepartments more easily adhere to corporatesecurity policies. As a proxy between administrators and OOBI management devices, access is well defined and easily controlled, particularly where access is required outside a firewall or NAT-basedrouter. Individual user access rights can be easily defined and customized. Access audit logs maintain a record of login success/failure, user login/logout, and port open/close activity. And whether connecting via a web browser or a command line (CLI), 128-bit encryption (SSL/SSH) ensures secure connections to the end-user equipment along with strong authentication.•Manage up to 256 devices from a single interface•128-bit encryption (SSL/SSH)•Auto Discovery (supports Lantronix Discovery Protocol (LDP) for SLC Console Servers and SNMPfor all other devices)•Remote authentication – LDAP, RADIUS, NIS |3 |
