| | | |
| | | Electrically Conductive Elastromers Electrically conductive elastomers are used for shielding electronic enclosures against electromagnetic interference (EMI). They provide environmental sealing, and excellent mechanical and electromagnetic shielding properties. Laird Technologies offers a wide variety of conductive filler materials in extruded, molded die-cut, dispensed Form-In-Place, printed and coated formats. Usually, the shielding system consists of a conductive gasket sandwiched between a metal housing and lid. The primary function of these gaskets is providing sufficien electrical conductivity across the enclosure/gasket/lid junction to meet grounding and EMI shielding requirements, as well as preventing fluid intrusion into the electrical components. Laird Technologies offers conductive elastomers in ElectroSealTM and ElectroMet™. ElectroSealTM are dispersed filler particles in elastomers and ElectroMetTM is an oriented wire in solid and sponge elastomers, and impregnated wire mesh and expanded metals. | | |
