Common rail

Nowadays, new high-quality engines increasingly rely on common-rail fuel injection. L'Orange is distinguished parti-cularly by its many years of experience in developing and manufacturing such injection systems. This key technology of the future will allow further significant improvements to be achieved with regard to the four main requirements ofengine manufacturers. Fuel injection at any desired pressure can be timed to the microsecond, independently of theengine’s operating cycle.For the engine manufacturer, the use of the compact and powerful common-rail pump has the economic and logistical advantages that the same pump type can be used for virtually the entire engine range. So both heavy-fuel and distillate applications are possible. 9
