The AIRLESS pumpsThese pumps suck the material from a container and discharge it through a hose towards the gun, under high pressure. The pumps operate by piston, their motors are pneumatic- (in most cases), electric- or gas-powered.Pneumatic piston pumps are equipped with an air motor, which makes the piston reciprocate. They are defined by the pressure and output of product that they deliver. The product pressure is calculated by multiplying the incoming air pressure by the compression ratio of the pump . The product output is calculated by multiplying the maximum number of cycles per minute by the capacity of the pump .FiltrationFluid filtration is carried out in several areas of the pump, the fluid passing throug ever finer element mesh filters to prevent blockages in the tip of the gun: The filter at the extremity of the suction rod is immersed in the paint container The AIRLESS filter is equipped with a screen that depends on the size of the tip and filters the product as it flows out of the pump. A filter in the handle of the gun completes the product straining process. The usual mesh size of this filter is about one third the diameter of the tip.Pressure lossAIRLESS applications require long hoses and are meant for fairly viscous fluids. The loss of pressure in the hoses is therefore significant and should always be taken into account when you are selecting the pressure of the output from the pump.AIRMIX® and AIRLESS spraying equipment - 8039 The AIRLESS tipsThere are two types of tips:Reversible tips: recommended for quick unblocking. By manual reversion of the tip during a few seconds and by pressing the trigger of the gun, the fluid pressure will drive the blockage out of the tip. Flat tips: provide you with a very fine, perfectly steady fan that garantees the absence of “blotching”.Reversible tipFlat tip 7G2 couverture et pages didactiqu7 701/12/2008 11:51:33 |
