According to industry standards, the typical temperature range is 0° C to + 60° C. However, temperatures in many areas of applications deviate considerably from this norm in both extremes and require boards which are designed for operation and/or storage temperatures above or below this standard temperature range.
For this reason, Kontron offers dedicated modules with El Extended Temperature (-25 to +75° C).
❖ The capability of each product to work in El environment is specified by Kontron's approval department in a specific type test.
❖ El (-25 to +75° C) is guaranteed and certified.
❖ Only dedicated products are available in Extended Temp, (see list below)

At Embedded World in February 2007 XGI and Kontron introduced for the first time the "Universal Graphics Module" standard for long-term available and custom scalable high-end PEG graphics. The new UGM standard defines an 84 x 95 mm universal graphics-on-module and supplies monitors with all current and future in-demand graphics card signals.
First product designed by Kontron is the UGM-M72 Module.
