PC Condition Monitoring
Recognize malfunctions ... ... before they happen Kontrons competences in Software
With the PCCM software the system can be monitored and vital system information are collected to get early warning of an upcoming fail. By monitoring critical system parameters components can be replaced before the system crashes due to component fail. The service technician will have information what component reached a critical status so he can have required spare part with him for fast re- pair. As a result maintenance-cycles can be optimized and MTTR value (mean time to repair) can be reduced. Besides customer and project specific SW development and services, Kontron offers a wide range of board and system support SW packages for the main embedded, real time and desktop operating systems. For industrial applications we provide OPC
industrial servers, OPC clients and OPC tools. Kontron is a leading authority in integrating embedded technologies (hardware and soft-ware), with indepth experience and knowledge of embedded operating systems that encom-
passes system software, board support packages, device drivers and integration into the IDE (integrated development environment). We have experience of low level programming on major microcontroller and processor families. The close concurrent engineering of software and hardware designers, and excellent relationship to partners like Intel, Freescale, Microsoft, Tenasys and WindRiver, let us develop systems that ideally fit together in terms of hardware and software. Especially the new Multi Core processors, which are on even every Kontron Hardware platform, include a great change in realizing OS solutions. One core works for visualization under Windows and the other core is reserved for a real-time OS. >
