¡1 Peak Performance from Engineering to Services
Kistler supports the automobile industry with high-end systems for measuring forces, torques and accelerations. Rather than just accepting the role of supplier of high-grade sensors and systems, the company regards itself as a partner involved in the development of comprehensive measurement solutions. From engineering through component production to quality assurance and services, Kistler embraces high technology focused on the customer. The company offers first-class measuring instrumentation that stands the test of time.
Component manufacture
Kistler's extremely high-precision sensors and high-performance systems are the product of engineering integrity and accurate component assembly. Superbly trained engineers and technicians produce consistently lightweight wheel force measuring systems. These even include carbon fiber composite designs to avoid measurement results being impaired by effects related to the mass of the wheel. The range of developments also includes instrumented crash barriers, each of whose measuring elements incorporates the entire sensor identification and measurement data acquisition system. In order to guarantee this outstanding quality is delivered to the entire automobile industry, Kistler employees fabricate the precision instruments in numerous carefully defined individual steps that often require a delicate touch.
Engineering
Having worked closely with the international automobile industry for decades, Kistler can now draw on a comprehensive, soundly based specialist knowledge of vehicle development. Kistler sees its combination of in-house research and collaboration with the customer - often right from the initial product conception phase -as one of its key competencies. Another factor behind the company's market leadership in the instrumented crash barrier and wheel force measurement market is its joint research and development work with various universities and scientific research institutes. Careful engineering with the latest aids, embodiment of customer requirements in initial development and comprehensive testing to international standards form the basis of premium system solutions for measuring forces, torques and accelerations revolving round a wide variety of vehicles.
