| | | The robust RoaDyn P530 measuring hubs are fitted with quartz sensors. Four 3-com-ponent force sensors are mounted under a high preload between a base and a cover plate. The cover plate supports a shaft that carries the wheel. The force components are measured virtually independently of displacement. This minimizes crosstalk between the components and ensures a very high natural frequency for the system as a whole. The end of the shaft of the standard system is extended from the back of the dynamometer and prepared for mounting a brake or drive unit. An oil lubrication system for cooling the bearings, which is available as an optional extra, ensures constant temperatures even under heavy loads. The mechanical interfaces for mounting on tire test stand and for mounting test rims are designed to customer requirements. The dynamometer is provided with corro-sion, splashproof and dust protection. The measured signals are transmitted unprocessed via a tough, highly insulated cable to an external charge amplifier or summing amplifier in the control center of the test stand. | | |
