The manufacture of solar cells is based on the wet chemical microelectronics production process. In this fully automated process, silicon wafers are etched, galvanized, cleaned and dried in a number of baths and basins. Ketterer has developed a special drive for this process made of a high-performance synthetic resistant to chemical media such as phosphoric and nitric acids. The modular construction of the drive unit allows as many gears to be lined up consecutively on the fastening plate as desired. The gears have almost no play, so they can adjust to fit the plunger curve perfectly. Once again Ketterer has shown that a customized drive can be constructed to meet any demand.
