ThE LIGhT TOUCh Powerful and compact sources are desirable for massive production of 3He gas. A new generation of fiber lasers is now available. The master oscillator power amplifier design relies on the use of a seed fiber laser which has adjusted linewidth of 1.8GHz to achieve optimum pumping of 3He and 4He atomic transitions. In particular, the small free spectral range of the seed oscillator allows many longitudinal modes to fill the linewidth which lead to high transition pumping efficiency. High power fiber amplifier built with the latest generation of high power fiber components, amplifies the seed laser up to 20W of output power. The laser is continuously tunable over 90GHz and overlaps 3He transitions C3 to C9 as well as 4He transitions D0 to D2. The laser system is provided into a rack with all necessary controls for output power and wavelength tuning. An external fine frequency control input allows locking the laser to wavelength references.
