Standard designation
CS5 KC7015
TiN
Carb de
Fine grain solid carbide with PVD-TiN coating.
CS5 (KC7015) is a grade for universal use, also suitable with inserts for difficult cutting tasks for interrupted cutting. In the solid carbide drill sector and as a cutting material for KSEM bodies with GDM geometry, it is characterised by high edge and bend breaking strength. CS5 (KC7015) is the first choice for virtually all steel tough cast iron materials and guarantees quiet and constant drilling process at low cutting forces.

KC5010
^^^^^^^^^H TiAIN
1 Carbide
PVD-TiAlN coated, unalloyed carbide, which in addition to its good wear resistance has a high level of resistance to plastic deformation.
The cutting edges are designed with smaller rounded edges (lower cutting forces) in compa-rison to CVD-coated grades, which means that its application is primarily found in finishing work.
These properties make KC5010 the preferred grade for finishing of stainless steel and materials with poor machining properties.

KC5410

/"~ TiB2
Carb de
PVD-TiB2 coated, highly wear-resistant fine grain grade.
KC5410 has been developed for finishing and roughing work for aluminium with a silicon proportion of <12 % and is ideally suited for cutting titanium alloys. The extremely hard PVD-TiB2 coating has a very low affinity with aluminium materials. In connection with a polished face, this cutting material combines the excellent properties of resistance against edge build-up and wear resistance.

KC7020

TiN
Carb de
The fine grain carbide used together with the PVD-TiN coating produces a wear-resistant cutting material, which is characterised by its especially high level of edge strength. Thanks to this increased edge and wear resistance, the KC7020 has been developed as an external cutter DRILL-FIX DFR for greater cutting values. Together with the KC7025 as a tough interior cutter, this combination is the first choice for demanding machining tasks not only for materials with poor machining properties, but also in other combinations in the field of all steel materials and stainless steels.

KC7025
1
TiN
Carb de
Fine grain solid carbide with PVD-TiN coating.
Developed for the DRILL-FIX DFR, the KC7025 is the solution for cutting tasks in the field of
stainless steels and materials with poor machining properties thanks to its excellent wear resistance. Due to its toughness, it is especially well suited as an interior cutter in combination with the KC7020 designed for higher cutting speeds and as an external cutter for difficult machining problems.

KC7040
1
S" TiN
Carb de
PVD-TiN coated carbide.
The heat-resistance of KC7040 in connection with the geometry of the SE-Drill B261 is ideally suited to the efficient dry machining of all steel materials.
HC - P40
KC7140
t.
TiN
TiCN Carb de
PVD-TiCN and TiN coated heat-resistant grade in P40 applications. KC7140 is especially well suited to machining low-alloy to high-alloy and austenitic steels, whereby the cutting performance is close to the level of high speed machining. KC7140 is especially efficient for dry machining.
HC - P40
HC - M35
KC720
1
TiN
Carb de
Especially tough carbide with PVD-TiN coating.
In cutting all steel materials and materials with poor machining properties, and for difficult usage conditions, such as inclined spot drilling, interrupted cutting, unstable clamping, etc. the especially high impact strength KC720 is the first choice.

HC - M30 HC - K35
KC7210
TiAIN
Carbide
PVD-TiAlN coated carbide with excellent heat-resistance with a good level of toughness. For dry applications or use of cooling lubricants, the combination of KC7210 and TF-Drill is the first choice for high speed cutting of cast iron materials.
HC - K10
KC7215
TiAIN
Carbide
PVD-TiAlN coated fine grain type.
The universal grade KC7215 is especially efficient. Its high wear-resistance permits a greatly increased cutting speed in contrast to PVD-TiN coated grades. KC7215 is especially suited to machining alloyed steels and cast iron.

HC - M15
HC - K20
KC7225
TiAIN
1 TiAIN
PVD-TiAlN coated, especially wear-resistant fine grain carbide.
KC7225 is relatively tough despite its high wear-resistance and guarantees the greatest level of process-safety when machining stainless steels, cast iron materials, NF metals and materials with poor machining properties.
