Note:
For assembly you require:
© Torque wrench © Square extension and a tightening device.
Before starting ensure that all surfaces to be assembled together are free of dirt and are completely clean.
a) Remove the differential screw © from the © taper shank. Lubricate the thread on the diffe­rential screw with lubricant ASL-3G (supplied with the taper shank). Screw the differential screw into the rear thread on the boring head © until it is gently positioned on the face between the two differential threads.
b) Screw the front end of the taper shank © onto the differential screw © now located at the back on the boring head ©. Screw carefully screw until the positioning pin © gently touches the taper shank face. Stop! Unscrew the taper shank © until the positio­ning pin © is aligned with the positioning slot

Insert the square end of the extension © through the taper shank © and into the diffe­rential screw ©. Keeping the positioning pin © and positioning slot aligned, turn the extension anti-clockwise until you can see that the two ROMICRON faces are meshing. Ensure that the postioning pin is inserted into the slot on the taper shank.
d) Tighten the differential screw © with the spe­cified required torque, as shown above. Use the © torque wrench to do this. This produ­ces a surface contact between the taper and the face.
