When Mr. Kauko Hyryläinen founded Katko in 1941 one of his key targets was innovation in development of new products and produc- tion methods. The idea was that we should give to our customers the best possible solu- tions to match their needs. Already at that time the company goal was to produce high quality products using the latest technical knowledge and this goal continues to the present day.Katko ensure the quality of their products by using independent, approved test houses to make sure that the products comply with current world wide standards.Since then our business has changed and increased a lot, from a domestic player to a company who supplies most of the market areas around the world. Today we have two joint venture companies one in United Kingdom and second one in Poland.Also our network around the world has increased and today we have partners in over forty countries in six continents and more than 60% of our production is exported. Our strong investments in product and production development have created a number of new products recently and with them we can see good market opportunities. Especially we have great expectations of the new modular compact size KVKE Switch Fuse series, which gives many advantages to our customers, the small size and modular system are just two of them.Katko’s handle series have some new features together with modern design which make them very interesting.Katko’s EVA toggle switch series now covers up to 250A also in four pole versions and they will give a lot of possibilities to panel builders. Last but not least are the efforts that our R&D department have made, when designing new en- closed switches the result of which is new stainless steel series.I know that together with our partners we willlhave interesting times in the future. Which will give us a lot of new challenges, but also some fun when working together for the better fu- ture.
