The number of citizens that has reached 65 years or older will grow by 81% up until the year 2045. And every 5th Dane has a health problem or a disability, and the number is growing. There is a great potential in listening to the users needs. The growing number of seniors and persons with or without disabilities place severe demands for their future surrounding. Not least in the kitchen where the users do not put up with anything. Knowledge about user needs is central when creating inno-vative and concise solutions. The Liftmatic industrial oven concept connects user needs with new technology – and that creates new business opportunities. Together we develop new designs on the basis of user needs linked to knowledge on technology and mechanisms. Innovation in the kitchen Interdisciplinary cooperation and development There will be multifunctional and height-adjustable tabletops that move simply by pressing a button. One of the most inno-vative ideas on the market is the Siemens Liftmatic oven. Here the roast or the buns will be lowered to an accessible height just by pushing a button. It suddenly becomes easy to access the food no matter if you are disabled or not. And the product appeals to a wide target group when function and good design comes together.
