Access for members of staff
A power plant is a large-scale operation with hundreds, if
not thousands of employees. Automatic units are required to
control the admission of staff at the entrances. They take the
pressure off reception staff and help prevent unauthorised
access. The key requirements are speed and efficiency. Depending on the specifications Kaba offers different solutions.
Recommended solution
Our classic and most popular solution takes the form of Kerberos tripod barriers. They offer a good balance between
comfort and security and allow for a throughput rate of up to
45 people per minute. Motor-driven versions feature a patented fold-down function with automatic reset, providing a
clear escape route in the case of an emergency.

For a more transparent design in the reception area, Charon
half-height turnstiles are a stylish alternative. The throughput rate is about 25 people per minute, but the glass swing
panels offer higher protection against unauthorised access
because it is impossible to pass underneath them.

Access for people with reduced mobility can be provided with
matching automatic swing doors. The units are power- assisted and open and close in the chosen direction using a minimum of force. The time the doors remain open is adjustable.
