Microscopes and control tools Digital video camera for stereomicroscopes Digital image archiving The stereomicroscope with a camera barrel are prepared for use with digital cameras. Using the set of digital video camera and software, the image can be retrieved directly live on your computer screen. With this professional solution, you can either cleanly archive the images or additionally process, measure and analyse etc. the latter using the special software. The camera is fitted to the camera barrel of the microscope using the C-mount adapter. The camera can also be installed on conventional microscopes using the adapter likewise supplied. It is installed in this case in front of the eyepiece of the microscope (see small photo). Thanks to USB 2.0, the camera can be connected to any modern (Windows) PC. Installation of the software is child’s play and after only a few minutes, you can start digitising and documenting the results of your work. Using the adapter for digital photo cameras, you can dock on any conventional digital photo camera – the most economical way of getting the results observed under the microscope into the world of bits and bytes. It’s as simple as that: the adapter is simply installed in front of the eyepieces and the camera is screwed on to the horizontal and vertical platform – hey presto!
