Flexible shaft systems Quick coupling system JOKE® Rapid Change JOKE® Rapid-Change The revolution in secure, rapid handpiece changes. The new JOKE® Rapid-Change quick coupling system means you can change handpieces in just a few seconds: Just pull out the old handpiece and push in the new one. That’s it - done! This new system does away with awkward, complicated handpiece fitting, as necessary so far when working with spring clips. But this system doesn’t just optimise handpiece changes. It also means that you can work with JOKE® Rapid-Change as safely and more economically, because firstly, there is no longer any risk of injury from expanding rings and secondly, repair costs are lower. A “Rapid-Change connection” between the handpiece and the shaft simply holds longer. You can continue to use your existing handpieces. All you need is the right conversion set to fit your handpiece. You can carry out the conversion easily in just two steps. All current handpieces in the JOKEFLEX® Premium motor system are supported (see list). Now, when buying handpieces, you can choose between the standard design with spring clips and the new version with the Rapid-Change connector. On the handpiece itself, the attachment must be changed and the “male” part of the Rapid- Change connector must be installed. All the individual parts of the conversion sets fitting the handpieces listed in the inset (see right) are shown on the following two pages. The “mother” of all Rapid-Change connections is the coupling piece, which is simply mounted on the handpiece end of the flexible shaft. Unscrew sliding connector cover... ...
