LAMINATED ALKOMPOSITVIEWTEK PEELABLESHIM

Alkomposit Viewtek ®is a bi-composed laminated peelableshimthat provides a comfort of use unequalled to date. It consists of polyethylene terephthalate (polyester) films which make it ideal for all kinds of new applications requiring insulation and light weight in a wide range of temperatures (see properties overleaf).In addition to the many advantages of conventional Alkomposit ®(electrical insulation, neutrality under chemical aggression, flexibili- ty, easy peeling, safety in use and recovery of the removed films for re-use), an exclusive marking procedure shows the side to be peeled according to the required thickness (0.025 - 0.05 - 0.1mm) at a single glance. This is made easy by the marking of the film thickness in full over the entire surface. And each thickness is also given a specific colour code.The operator can thus begin adjusting the shim by peeling off thethickest layers and can obtain the final dimension by removing one or two thinner films as required. The film thicknesses are immedi- ately identifiable and the desired dimension is quickly and easily obtained.
