L-951 is flame retardant per FAR part 25.853 and intended for use in light weight aircraft interior assemblies such as galleys, lavatories, baggage bins, food carts, bulkheads, and side walls where the extra strength and stiffness of graphite fibers are required.Advantages of L-951L-951 is easily cured over a broad range of temperatures and pressures so the designer can utilize low cost tooling techniques for intricate detail parts. L-951 can be built with fabrics from 3K, 6K, or 12K tows in many different styles so the designer is not limited in build-up or complexity of construction. The L-951 matrix resin is a 100% solids modified epoxy resulting in very low void content in finished detail parts. L-951 will co-cure with many of today’s adhesive and prepreg systems allowing design optimization.Physical Properties on 7 mil Graphite FabricStandard Weight: 0.070 lbs/ft² (342 g/m2 ) Standard Resin Content: 43% by weight Standard Tack: Slightly tacky on one side Cured Ply Thickness: 0.009” (0.229 mm) Other Weights, Resin Contents, and Fabrics are Available.
