Jabsco original Flexible Impeller Pumps -Pedestal, Clutch & Engine Cooling

How it works: Temperature Range

General Introduction Flexible vanes createincreased volume when leaving the eccentric camcreating a vacuum thusdrawing in liquid, instantly priming the pump. As the flexible vanes rotate, the liquid is carried throughthe pump from the inlet tooutlet port, each successive vane drawing in liquid.

Features:

When the flexible vanesagain contact the eccentriccam they bend with a squeezing action whichprovides a continuous, uniform discharge of liquid. â–  Versatile: The flexible impeller pumpcombines the priming feature of positive displacement type pumps with the generaltransfer ability of centrifugals. It will pumpeither thin or viscous liquids and can handle more solids in suspension than other types of rotary pumps. It operates at low or highspeeds - can be mounted at any angle andpumps in either direction with equal efficiency. â–  Self-Priming: Pumps instantly, with drysuction, lifts up to 10ft (3m); up to 25ft (8m)when wetted. Permits cleaner, safer installa- tions. No foot valve required. â–  Simplicity: One moving part - a tough,long-lived, wear-resistant flexible impeller, lubricated by the liquid being pumped. No metal-to-metal pumping action - nogears to jam, clog or become noisy. â–  More Capacity: Flexible impeller pumps, ingeneral, require less space because they deliver greater flow for weight, size and price than other types of pumps.

Pressure Ranges

The data given for the engine cooling systemsand pump selection is for guidance only. It does not cover High Performance Engines. You should always consult the Engine Marinizer.
