As one of five 3-D kernels in the world our ESM kernel is the only one that is fully 2-D capable and able to provide true 2-D/3-D interconnectivity. 2-D and 3-D in One File The unique 2-D/3-D associativity of HiCAD enables existing 2-D design data to be combined with innovative 3-D design. With HiCAD next you can use 2-D and 3-D objects in a single file and process them without switching applications or windows. You can choose to design directly in 3-D and derive a technical drawing from the model, or alternatively, continue to work in 2-D, insert 3-D objects if required, and then create a 3-D | | model from your technical drawing. Our specially developed 2-D/3-D conversion technique for smooth 3-D migration enables conversion to be carried out semi-automatically with a minimum of entries. HiCAD next enables you to retain your know-how without loss of 2-D or 3-D data. This is made possible by interfaces with standard formats ranging from DXF and IGES to STEP - as well as native formats such as ME10, CATIA, Autocad, and many more. For example, after changing systems the archived 2-D data of 10,000 to 70,000 drawings was taken over in a customer project - including all metadata-without any problems. | | |
