Typical Applications Sheets of paper, cardboard, plastic foils, shiny
metal surfaces or high-quality finely woven textiles
are examples of such fine surfaces. Beyond these
applications, the sensor can of course also be
applied to more roughly textured materials. For
applications with frequently varying materials, the
most finely structured surface is the deciding factor
in choosing between OPTIPACTS or F. In practice,
the application scope of OPTIPACTF is primarily
limited by the small tolerance of the operating
distance and by the velocity limit. For fine-surface
applications with greater distance variations and
higher velocities, the type series COVIDIS is
recommended. >
OPTIPACTF
For Fine Surfaces The optics of OPTIFACTF have a four times higher
magnification than those of OPTIPACTS. The
increased optical resolution corresponds to a smal-
ler velocity range of +/- 1m/s (60 m/min), but ena-
bles applications on materials (such as regular pho-
tocopying paper) with very fine surface structures,
imperceptible at first glance to the human eye. The
working distance is 15.5 mm +/- 1.5 mm. With the
exception of a four-times higher resolution of the
incremental signal, the electrical and mechanical
interfaces, the accuracy as well as the range of fun-
ctions of OPTIPACTF are identical to those of
OPTIPACTS. >
