Thus, they are completely protected against liquids and dust – the protection level is IP68. These devices are particularly suited for environments which have to meet high hygienic requirements. Especially hospitals, laboratories, companies which are active in the fields of food and pharmaceutical production as well as manufacturers of microelectronic products benefit from the excellent features of these keyboards and mice. Since the devices are completely disinfectable and cleanable, bacteria and germs can be eliminated. In addition, some models possess antimicrobial properties, which attack microbes that are located on the surface and inhibit their growth. The robust construction ensures a long service life. With some models, in addition to the mouse, a cursor control is available which is integrated into the keyboard.
