The Network Sniffer observes the network traffi c, records the desired telegrams, decodes the transferred packages and makes the network transpa- rent by that. Network problems can be loca- ted and fi xed quickly. NetSpector is able to cope with common industrial protocols like no other analyzer could: S7, S5, RFC1006, Modbus on TCP, EtherNet/IP, H1, CLX etc. NetSpector is designed modularly. Display unit and recording agent work separately and can be used in different locations. The display unit can be run on the local worksta- tion while the recording takes place remotely on a switch. Problematic infl uences caused by intermediary active components (switch, router, bridge) are avoided by that.
