Continuous innovations and advancements, constant good quality of all products, short delivery times and a good price/performance ratio are the reasons for success. igus® E-Chains® work all over the world in machine tools and devices, in vehicles, conveyor systems, robots, measuring systems, in off-shore applications or in cranes or foundries. The system concept - The igus® E-Chain® is a mechanical "machine part." It carries, guides and supports cables which move around in all imaginable environments. The cables are mostly electric. They often have to take into account many strain reliefs, guide troughs and other components in their combination as a system and coordinate them. The term igus® for that reason means E-Chains® system. All components are developed and elaborately tested by igus®. igus® also produces ready-assembled systems according to your specifications with cables, connectors, plates and attachment parts and delivers it, if need be, directly to your machine. Applications of the igus® E-Chains® and E-Tubes - The igus® EChains ® ensure an interference-free operation when energy is supplied to moving parts. Their function is the safe supply of energy and data to mobile (also dynamic) equipment. The energy can be electricity, gases, air and liquids. The energy carriers are cables and hoses. Laboratory and practical experience Our calculations and analyses are based on the result of ongoing practical tests in our Technical Center and our experience with gliding applications. The focal points of our tests are pushpull forces, friction values and abrasion under widely varying conditions and speeds, as well as factors such as dirt, weathering or impact and bumps. We test all system components such as cables, hoses, strain relief and other accessories, in addition to the E-Chains® or E-Tubes and Guide Troughs.
