The AirBoxes can be addressed either prior to installation without voltage orwhen connected and wired via the addressing socket integrated in themodule. Only the addressing unit and the corresponding addressing cable with a jack plug are required.

When AirBoxes are used filters with at least 5 µm pore size must be used inthe supply of compressed air. The switching elements in the AirBoxes receive a basic lubrication (initial lubrication) so that they can be operated with compressed air which is not lubricated. Important: If in exceptional cases lubricated compressed air is used you must continue to use it as the oil in the compressed air removes the initial lubrication.

5/3-way slide valve – blocked middle position The 5/3-way function also enables triggering of double-acting actuators,e.g. cylinders without return spring.In contrast to all previously mentioned valves the 5/3-way valve, for example,prevents dropping of a load in the event of compressed air failure due to the blocked middle position. The 5/3-way valve with blocked middle position enables moving back into a defined position in case of an e-stop of the pneumatics.
