They can be mounted onto H42 / H57 / H86 / H110 (NEMA17, NEMA23, NEMA34, NEMA42) series stepper motors seamlessly through corresponding flanges. The thickness of these controllers is less than 14 millimeter. The embedded high performance DSP microprocessor accepts user commands in ASCII code style through RS232 protocol. The structure of the instructions (i.e. commands from user) is simple, straight forward and fault-tolerating. Users are not required to have the knowledge of stepper motor driving. Enclosures of CI241-4A/8A are made of die-cast aluminum which provide a rugged and durable protection to the controller and improve the heat dissipation.

Terminal 3 should be connected to the RX pin on user device (e.g. pin 2 on a DB9 connector or pin 3 on a DB25 connector); Terminal 4 should be connected to the TX pin on user device (e.g. pin 3 on a DB9 connector or pin 2 on a DB25 connector); Terminal 5 should be connected to the GND pin on user device (e.g. pin 5 on a DB9 connector or pin 7 on a DB25 connector). An example for wiring using DB9 connector is provided in the following figure.
