Compression Module

The HySTAT™-A* Energy Station consists of five modules: Hydrogen Generation, Compression, Storage, Fuel Dispenser, and Power modules. The HySTAT™-A Hydrogen Generation Module produces hydrogen at pressure, up to 25 bar (363 psi), without mechanical compression. In many cases our customers require higher pressures.

The HySTAT™ Compression Module is designed to raise the hydrogen pressure up to 430 bar (6,250 psi). Higher outlet pressures are available upon request. Hydrogenics' product development plans include increasing this pressure to over 700 bar (>10,000 psi). The Compression Module is available as an integrated package with the HySTAT™-A Hydrogen Generation Module or can be provided as a stand-alone unit. The Compression Module can accommodate a wide range of hydrogen inputs starting from 1 Nm³/h.

The HySTAT™ Compression Module is offered with diaphragm compression technology that features many benefits including:

■ High purity hydrogen hydrogen is isolated from the compressor lubricant by an impermeable

diaphragm construction, eliminating any potential contamination

occupy minimal space

■ Flexible capacity range high and low outlet pressures can be achieved using one technology
