(Massey Fergusson / Fendt / Valtra / Challenger), and Hutchinson Transmission have been successfully introducing over the years, the concept of elastic belt for optional equipments fitted to tractors manufactured in the french plant of Beauvais. Both the time to market and the reliability of the products have been improved. Based on this success, Hutchinson got recommendation to start working with AGCO SISU POWER, the subsidiary of the group in charge of designing and manufacturing the engines based in Finland. This has led to the first AGCO engine made in Finland fitted with a Flexonic® belt, the original elastic belt for the industry made by Hutchinson. Issues and Objectives : AGCO SISU POWER was facing packaging problems and wanted to position unconventionally the water pump beside the fan pulley. Their main priority was to find a robust and reliable solution as this engine should be used, for example, to power harvesting machines. Due to a lack of space, no tensioning device could be integrated to the concept. Solutions : The Flexonic® belt proved itself to be the best product for the application. ^ Durable, even in hot and dusty environment (> 3000 hours). © Quick to implement : as no spécifie tensioner had to be designed, the engineering could be done in record time.
