The design of the Huisman pedestal crane consists mainly of asteel crane house, bolted to the pedestal via the slewbearing. The winches, eventual hydraulical equipment and the electrical and power cabinets are located inside the crane house. The jibs pivot hinges and the connection of the luffing tackles are integrated into the crane house.Advantages:- Simple interface with vessels structure - Limited tail swing - Winches and equipment built in fully enclosed housing - No equipment in the vessels hullPedestal can be connected to the side of the deckbox (SemiSubmersible ) and therefore does not take up any deck spaceThe following types of cranes are described:-Pedestal Mounted Crane (PMC) -Pedestal Mounted Offshore Crane (PMOC)

ROLLEY The jib of the HLMC (as well as all other box girder type jibs onother crane types) can be equipped with the Huisman trolley. This trolley can travel along the full length of the jib. Using the trolley, the crane can handle very fast reduced loads since the large (and thus slowly) crane movements, such as main hoist and luffing, do not have to be made. Safe working loads in a range from 20 mt up to 120 mt are possible. PMOC SWL 160t at 14.5m Trolley at HLMCSWL 400t

INCHES Winches can be fitted at different locations. > on aft end of slewing platform > in the mast foot > below mast foot in vessels hull > in jib construction The final winch arrangement depends on clients requirementand on the type of drive system selected. 9
