CASES05General descriptionHTceramix provides anode-supported thin-fi lm electrolyte cells produced in its pilot production line in Yverdon-les-Bains. The CASE is composed of an electrolyte (YSZ, 10µm) sandwiched between two electrodes, a perovskite porous cathode (LSF/LSC, 40µm) and the anode suport strucuture (NiO, YSZ, 200µm). Good mechanical stability is provided by the relatively dense anode structure; the thin anode hardly shows gas diffusion limitation. Precise wet ceramic processing enables effi cient use of raw materials and increases also the compacity of the stack. Cells are produced by anode and electrolyte co-casting and co-sintering followed by screen-printing of the cathode layer.Operating rangesHTceramix cells allow a high fuel utilisation (>70 %) and demonstrate high power densities (>1.5 W/cm²)*. Cells can be operated in a temperature range of 650°C to 850°C under humidifi ed hydrogen, reformed hydrocarbons or synthesis gas mixtures.Production fl exibilityThe cells can be produced in different confi gurations and upon customer’s geometrical specifi cations. HTceramix cells have been tested for one thousand hours in single cell tests and stack operations, showing stable performance.QualityQuality control is one of the company’s priorities: Production statistics, mechanical and electrochemical tests are used to verify and optimise the quality and reproducibility of all production batches.* These results were obtained under our ideal laboratory conditions. HTceramix offers no guarantee of identical performance under other laboratory conditions. HTceramix SA av. des Sports 18CH-1400 Yverdonwww.htceramix.ch |
