HoTbox™Demonstrator

General description

The HoTbox™ Demonstrator is a complete solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) demonstration system with a 500W HoTbox™ as its core. The system also includes low temperature insulation, controls, an integrated panel personal computer with customized software, a lead acid battery and packaging. The system runs on hydrogen or reformate gas, and the SOFConnex™ based stack operates at 750°C.This complete system is fully autonomous with a battery for grid-independent start-up and for surge coverage. It has also been designed for easy stack accessibility for maintenance.
