...in many industries and in many
Burton Corblin offers a wide range of single or multi stage compressors and boosters. This range includes high efficiency diaphragm units (DL series) and hybrid (Piston/ Diaphragm - HPD Series) compressors. The combination of the oil-free piston and diaphragm technologies on one single frame provides higher capacities at high pressures with no contamination of the gas and minimum leakage.
These machines benefit from the latest technical developments in design and manufacture and include the more recent technological improvements in reciprocating compressors.
A large range of proprietary crankcases associated with a wide variety of compression heads, having pressure ratings ranging from 10 to 3000 bar, offers a large number of combinations allowing an optimum selection for a given duty.

To ensure compressors operate at the specified pressure and temperature conditions, the chemical and physical properties of the gas to be handled are carefully reviewed by Burton Corblin. This review results in the proper selection of the crankcase and the diaphragm head assembly. The ratio of specific heats determines the temperature rise and the requirements for multi-staging and cooling whereas gas compressibility factors and density determine the size and configuration of gas flow passages and gas check-valve sizing.
Certain gases or gas mixtures are corrosive, flammable, explosive or easily liquifiable. When gas pressures and temperatures are increased, or when the gas is combined with other compounds, such as water, the gas can be more difficult to handle and this will be assessed and addressed at the selection stage.
Thanks to its long-track record, Burton Corblin always makes sure that the best technical solution is applied to each duty. By careful review of the operating conditions, we minimize the potential risks of fire, explosion and environmental leakage while maximizing component life.
Burton Corblin has the in-depth experience needed to help you make correct choices, and optimize your investment. We go beyond merely getting you the "right" compressor configuration. Our advanced engineering maximizes reliability and operating life.
