The virtual COM-Port on the PC is created by the “Serial IP” driver software, which is included in the scope of supply. PC applications designed to access devices via physical COM-Ports, can access the remote device without any software modifications via the Serial Server and the Ethernet network. The Serial Server in combination with its software driver can be viewed as a long “virtual” serial RS-232 or RS-485 cable.Anybus Serial Server has advanced features enabling the user to transfer Real-Time protocols such as Modbus-RTU, Siemens MPI and DF1. This allows for remote configuration of Schneider Electric, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs via the Internet.Connecting Devices ™ |
