Quality Control
Under a stringent quality control program, Hitachi Power Tools are without exception subjected to rigid inspections and tests at each stage of processing. Each part is meticulously scrutinized for flaws by expert inspectors. Components are thoroughly tested at assembly lines to ensure optimum performance, and each finished product is carefully examined to assure uniform quality.
Safety
Double-lnsuJation power tools, indicated by the double square mark ([nj )t can be operated without external grounding. Designed and manufactured with the accent on safety, Hitachi Power Tools are provided with safety brakes, safety cavers and various other safety features. With particular concern for the prevention of com­mon accidents, they are constructed to direct sawdust, metallic chips, and other debris away from the operator.
Power Input
Hitachi Power Tools employ series motors whose modern design is based on Hitachi's many years of experience. Unless otherwise indicated in the catalog, power input {W) is based on 110 to 240V.
General Precautions
1. To avoid possible electric shock, DO NOT use the power tool in wet areas.
2. Ensure that the applied voltage is the same as that specified on the name plate.
3. With the exception of all insulated or double insulated tools, ensure thai the tool is properly grounded in accordance with regulations.
4. To ensure proper function of Ihe tool, 00 NOT remove instal­led covers or screws.
5 DO NOT use the tool for work beyond it's prescribed capabil­ity.
6. Keep unauthorized people, especially children, away from the tool.
7. Avoid unintentional contact with the power switch when the tool is connected to a power source.
