Leica T-Mac (Tracker-Machine control sensor), the next-generation 6DOF track-ing device for automated applications, answers the needs of a growing number of Leica Geosystems customers who have either modified the existing Leica T-Probe for automated measurement applications or have expressed interest in doing so. Leica T-Mac is an off-the-shelf solution that can be custom-tailored to the needs of a specific application. For example, an interface for precise tool exchange units can be included on a per-need basis. Leica T-Scan is a high-speed hand scanner that digitizes shiny and diffuse surfaces in one go under normal light conditions. With a measurement volume of 30m, it scans large objects more accurately and 50 percent faster than comparable products. By projecting a la- ser beam point by point, the Leica T-Scan high-speed hand scanner uses flying dot scanning to digitize all types of surfaces. Set-up times are minimal, and there is no need for photogrammetric targets. In ad- dition, the point-cloud data collected by the software requires no post-processing, creating enormous time savings. 22
