| | | Applications SL-EC motors are used in battery operated electric vehicles with a supply voltage ranging from 12 to 48 V DC and in industrial applications, machine construction, printing machines, tooling machines. They are also used as hybrid drive in the automotive industry with a supply voltage from 120 V to 560 V DC. Their flat pancake design makes these motors suitable for many applications which require several motors mounted side by side. Our forte is customer specific solutions. Our dedicated teams of specialists in sales and design will assist you finding the optimal solution for your application. | | |
| | | SL-EC: Brushless disc motors Brushless disc motors of the SL-EC series require minimum mounting space, are maintenance-free and available in a large range of rated voltages. The magnet-carrying rotor may be used as direct drive in isolation from the environment. This makes the SL-EC series ideal for compact and robust custom specific applications. Structure: The new HEINZMANN brushless disc motors are axial flow motors excited by permanent magnets. They differ primarily from the previous brush-equipped disc motors in two respects: • Instead of the copper winding and the mechanical commutator, the rotor has the magnets fixed in a steel guide or in a pole ring. • The stator carries the copper winding which is housed in a packet of iron sheets. Commutation is done electronically with Hall sensors, resolver, encoder and, lately, without sensors. | | |
