The integral execution ofthe EWN 2-50XL modular boring head, unmatched world wide in terms of precisionand process reliability, is now available with shanks HSK-A63, SK40 according toDIN 69871 AD/B and MAS 403 BTB as well as COROMANT CAPTO C6.Rapid developments in the machine building industry always target to improve cuttingperformance and result in much increased spindle speeds, higher feeds and fasterrapid traverses. Consequently the superb dynamics of advanced machining centresdo also influence the system, machine spindle - tool holder - cutting edge. KAISERhas incorporated these more demanding requirements in its design work and nowproudly presents the new boring head EWN 2-50XL integral as a tool specially madefor ultimate cutting performance.The tool length between taper gauge line and cutting edge has been limited to anabsolute minimum and the compact boring head with an outer diameter of 63,5 mmguarantees a high basic stability. If the tool is used with a centrally adjusted boringbar the complete boring tool is balanced. Due to the carefully selected wide range ofaccessories, each bore in the range of Ø 2.0 – 54 mm can be machined with abalanced optimised tool combination. Head EWN 2-50XL integral permits also thevariable length adjustment of the boring bar and therefore optimized boring depthsettings for all given applications.
