Precision boring head EW 2-12 Hi-Speed

Boring with spindle speeds up to 30’000 r.p.m. With a boring range from Ø 2 – 12 mm and a max. speed of 30’000 r.p.m., the newKAISER boring head EW 2-12 Hi-Speed offers new possibilities in the field of fineboring of ultra precise holes with highest spindle speeds. Due to the compact bodydimensions Ø 32 mm and 44 mm length; the new boring head can be operated innarrow locations and on machine tools with spindles HSK-40, HSK-50 or SK30. Thetool is available with the modular KAISER connection CK3 or with a straight shank Ø16 mm.The self balanced EW 2-12 Hi-Speed is equipped with a manual fine balancingmechanism and features a combined clamping for diameter setting and boring cutterwith an excellent positional accuracy. The ground and play free fitted micrometerspindle transmits the adjustment range of 3 mm Ø very accurately to the cuttingedge. The large and clearly readable scale disc permits adjustment accuracy of 0.01mm Ø and with vernier of 0.002 mm Ø.A large variety of boring cutters with through tool coolant supply, made of solidcarbide or equipped with inserts, offer best possibilities for finishing operations ofthrough – and blind holes.Because of the very high working speeds this boring head is very suitable formachining of bores in complex work pieces, also such ones made of exotic materialswith highest requirements in geometry and surface.
