On the request of many customers we have compiled an assortment of our most popular transducer gages. This selection includes the most commonly used patterns. Preference types are indicated by a gray-shaded background. These types are normally available with a short delivery time.

Stick-on option

Many of our strain gages are available with adhesive pre-coated on the gage backing. These stick-on gages are easy to handle. They help you to produce transducers with excellent measuring features and consistent quality. No additional adhesive is needed anymore! More details on page 12.

Strain gage production at HBM

Production steps

Briefly, the production of strain gages at HBM comprises the following steps:Lamination of a metal foil with a strain-gage backing material resulting in a so-called ”sheet”Application of the desired strain-gage pattern using an etching-resistant material, including a process of photograhic development Etching of the sheet to produce the actual strain-gage patterns Cutting, resistance-adjustment and encapsulation of the strain gages Packaging of the finished gages.
