Competence up to 15 000 bar

Competence up to 15 000 bar

Pressure measurement technology from HBM

Highest pressures

HBM provides standard transducers for up to15,000 bar based on a patented construction prin-ciple. Such high pressures can only be measuredbecause foil strain gage technology is used. Duringdesign, the geometry of the monolithic measuringbody is optimized as required. The measuring grid is ultimately fitted in the final manufacturing stage. Please contact us for more information.

Robustness

Our transducers have been field-tested in harshconditions. They prove their strengths whereverthere are pressure peaks and vibrations, for exam-ple, in many hydraulics and also in ”mobile weigh-ing” applications (figure) where in addition you canbenefit from HBM’s competence in weighing technology. All HBM pressure transducers are cor-rosion resistant and IP67 protected.

Dynamics

Today’s manufacturing and automationprocesses require fast feedback loops. With strain gage based transducersthese signals can be mapped reliably.Their design offers an excellent loadcycle capability coupled with the ro- bustness for which HBM transducersare well known.

Reliability

Our transducers meet the highest de-mands. They build on decades of experi-ence in transducer construction using mea-suring elements based on steeldiaphragms or monolithic steel measuringbodies. They also offer excellent overload stability and a long service life. Experiencegained in all fields of application has shownthat this technology exceeds expectations.344Product Catalog
