(By utilising SF6 for insulation only, there is no health hazard from the toxic by-products of arcing) The patented, single coil magnetic actuator provides consistent performance and a dramatic reduction in moving parts. Materials and finishes have been carefully chosen for reliability - from the epoxy separable bushing interface to the neodymium iron boron magnets used in the mechanism. » No scheduled maintenance (excludes control batteries) » The unit can be supplied pre-wired to allow the circuit breaker to be remotely controlled » Unidirectional - senses fault current in either direction Application The GVR 38 / 10 is a stand-alone, circuit breaker, which can be used to isolate individual wind turbines for faults which do not affect other parts of the network. The power required to operate the control circuitry and mechanism is obtained from an in-built dc battery charger. The unit is supplied with a remote wall mountable control box, which houses the protection and control equipment.
