Need a quick fix for dirty probes? Take apiece of damp cardboard and pull it through the slot in the graphite. This will temporarily clear off any accumulated deposits that may be causing erratic TDS readings. In an extreme case, substitute a wet emory board for the cardboard, and run it very lightly through the probe. Avoid this situation by thoroughly rinsing the probe with tap and/or DI water after testing.
